Ken Nuber

Ken Nuber returns to the University of Saint Francis as Head Women’s Soccer Coach for the 2021 Season.


Nuber began his coaching career as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at USF in 1994 and spent five seasons at the helm. Ken founded the Women’s Soccer program in 1995 and lead both programs until 1999.


In developing the women’s program scratch, they posted a 6-11 record in the program's first season in 1995. The Lady Cougars then produced 11 straight winning seasons while winning the MCC conference titles in 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2003. The Lady Cougars amassed a cumulative record of 170-96-14 (.632) under the guidance of Nuber.


After 14 successful years with Saint Francis, Ken Nuber became the assistant coach with the University of Notre Dame's women's soccer program. While at Notre Dame, Nuber helped lead the program to three NCAA Final Four appearances and a National Championship in 2010. In his five years coaching the Fighting Irish, the program went 94-21-8.


In 2013, Nuber left the College game to focus on youth soccer as the Executive Director and Director of Coaching at the Jr. Irish Soccer Club. A strong club known all over the Midwest, Jr. Irish has placed it’s players into all levels of college soccer from NCAA DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA. Former Jr. Irish players are playing at schools such as Notre Dame, Ball State, IUPUI, Purdue FW, Bethel, Goshen, and Saint Francis.


In 2017, Nuber took the lead at Mishawaka Marian High School and amassed a record of 45-28-11 and one Semi-State appearance in 2019. The 2020 Knights spent the majority of the 2020 season as the top ranked 2A school in the state.


Ken Nuber is a graduate of Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, Ohio before earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Saint Francis in 1993. He also earned coaching certifications from the United Soccer Coaches – National diploma in 1997, Advanced national diploma in 1999, and Premier Diploma in progress as well as a United States Soccer Federation National B License.


Ken and his wife, Gina (USF Grad), have two wonderful kids: a daughter Mya (16) and son Jayden (14).
